1818
"The only written claim concerning Indians in Palmira was that of Mrs. Flora Tetrick when she wrote that her mother spoke of the Mason farm still being much in forest and the wild state in the early 1820s and that once when young Sarah(Mason) and her siblings were playing in the creek with a homemade wooden wagon, one of the children looked up and saw a number of Indians coming up the creek toward them. The children scampered up the bank to their home and pieces of the wagon were strewn all along the way." |

Brick Walkway Fundraiser
Memorial bricks pave the way to the front porch of the museum.
Bricks are permanently engraved to honor or memorialize a friend or loved one and offer another way to openly show you support the purposes of our Society. Businesses also purchase bricks to show their support and it is another way to advertise. All funds raised by this project will be used for fixtures needed to display acquisitions. There are two ways you can order a brick: mail or online. To order via mail: It is easy to place an order. Simply download the form and fill in the information to be engraved on the brick. Once completed, mail the form along with a check or money order payable to the Mason Historical Society. Please use one form per brick with the information to be engraved. Please print clearly or generate the information on your computer and attach that paper to the form. Bricks are $50.00 each. You can also complete and mail the form, include your phone number with the best time to call you, and we will take your payment using a credit card. To order online:
Click the link below to go to our e-commerce site. There you can specify what should be engraved in the brick and place the order. |
