Step Into the Past
The Alverta Green Museum is named after Alverta Bedacht Green, a local antique dealer and longtime resident who deeded her home to the Mason Historical Society in January of 1987.
It is Mason's best kept secret located in the heart of the historic district. Step back in time when you visit this 1890's Victorian house filled with period furniture and artifacts donated by generous Mason residents. The house was built by William C. VanFossen, who served four terms as a mayor of Mason, first elected in 1892. |
Visit the Alverta Green Museum to see our full collection of historical artifacts.

New Addition
Construction has added approximately 1,435 square feet to the building. The addition provides a large room which expands our library and provides more room for display, programs, and meetings.
